Carolyn Jane Baker, 77, Marion, passed away in her home at 3:36 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2018. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on March 29, 1941, to the late Richard and Wilma (Reith) Emery.
During her career, Carolyn was a director of volunteers at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, and, most recently, a clerk at Heights Finance and a receptionist for lawyer, Teri Pollett. She was a very talented artist and crafter. She was also an avid gardener, a member of the Marion Garden Club, and, for many years, a dedicated volunteer for Drum Corps International.
She will be missed by her son, Richard Hammond, Lansdale, PA; siblings, Judith (Terry) Stratman, Long Beach, IN, Leslie Spalding, Tucson, AZ, Chris Ehlers, Heber City, UT, and Rick (Jane) Emery, New Freedom, PA; multiple loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; step-brother, Jim (Frieda) Bateman, Scottsdale, AZ; step-sister, Joanne Bergman, St. Paul, MN; and dear friends, David (Nancy) Malley, Marion.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three nephews, Craig Ehlers, Michael Stratman, and Chad Spalding; step-father, Rob Bateman; grandparents, Elizabeth (Erastus) Emery and Katherine (Harry) Reith; and her beloved dog, Tucker.
The family will hold a private memorial for Carolyn.
