Carl Logan Sample, age 73, of Marion passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.
Carl was born on September 9, 1947 in Peru, Indiana the son of the late Carl Lewis Sample and Mary Lou (Roberts) Mullett.
Carl worked in maintenance at Bradford Apartments. He was an avid pool player and enjoyed playing cards. He loved sports and enjoyed watching Notre Dame Football, the Indianapolis Colts and IU Basketball. Carl loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by two sons, Ron Sample of Sidney, Ohio and Kyle Sample of Marion; a daughter, Bethanie Sample of Marion; brothers, Dan Sample of Owasso, Oklahoma, Kurt Mullett and Kent Mullett, both of Wabash; sisters, Theresa Hamilton of Wabash, Tina Girvan of Edgewater, Florida, and Beverly Gullotti of Wabash; and two grandchildren, Da’Karrah Jones and Darrynce Jones.
Carl was also preceded in death by a sister, Bethanie Sample.
Friends and family may call from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Monday, December 14, 2020 at Raven-Choate Funeral Home, 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, Indiana. Funeral Services will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Randy Glander officiating. Cremation will take place following funeral services.
Due to the Governor’s continued COVID-19 restrictions, masks will be required at the funeral home and social distancing is suggested.
