Carl L. Easterday Sr., 79, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 11:35 am, Friday, November 20, 2020 at his home. He was born May 1, 1941 in Wabash, to Edward and Bertha (Hall) Easterday.
Carl married Bonnie Louise Kemp in Wabash on May 28, 1960; she died October 23, 2014. He worked at Wabash Alloys, retiring after 42 years. Carl enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening, going to flea markets, and staying busy. He especially enjoyed spending time at his cottage on Lukens Lake.
He is survived by three children, Kevin (Carol) Easterday of Peru, Indiana, Bryan (Brenda) Easterday Sr. of Wabash, and Verlyn (Kimberly) Easterday of Wabash, 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, brothers and sister, Lester (Joann) Easterday of Andrews, Indiana, Lois Murray and Jim Easterday, both of Wabash. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Revin Easterday Sr. and Carl L. Easterday Jr., great granddaughter, Jasmyn Easterday, and seven brothers.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Tim Prater officiating. Burial will be in Friends Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 1-2 pm Wednesday, at the funeral home.
