Car/Pedestrian Crash Investigated

 

WABASH – On March 22, 2019, at approximately 3:38 p.m. Wabash City Police responded to several reports that a bicyclist was struck by a motor vehicle on Market Street.  Wabash City Units located a bicyclist in the digit block of West Market Street that had been struck by a motor vehicle.  It was reported that a black sport utility vehicle had left the scene.  Wabash City Fire Department Paramedics transported the injured bicyclist to Parkview Wabash for further treatment.  While Wabash City Police were investigating the crash,the alleged driver of the crash went to the Wabash City Police Department.  After speaking with witnesses, the bicyclist, the alleged driver of the vehicle, and reviewing evidence at the scene it was determined that the bicyclist rode out of the Veterans Plaza and into the path of the westbound motor vehicle.  The alleged driver of the vehicle was identified as Todd C. Larrowe, 47, Wabash. This case is still under investigation. Assisting the Wabash City Police were Wabash City Fire and Wabash County EMA.
