Brent Lee Siders, 59, of Peru, Indiana, died at 11:09 am, Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo. He was born on July 23, 1964, in Wabash, Indiana, to Robert Devon Siders and Nila Lee Mowrer.
Brent lived in Roann, Indiana until the age of 5 when his family moved to Tampa, Florida. After the death of his father, Brent moved to Honolulu, Hawaii from 1975-1977. After moving back to Indiana and graduating high school, he returned to Tampa, where he did yard work and construction. Brent lived in Tampa until 2 years ago when he moved back to live with his brother Rick Siders. He was a man of simple pleasures and enjoyed spending time watching old western movies and Fox News, with Rick’s dog, Bubba, on his lap. Bubba was always by Brent’s side, except for bedtime when he would go sleep with Rick. In the final years of her life, Brent made it a point to call his mother, Nila, on her birthday and Mother’s Day.
He is survived by two brothers, John Siders of Roann, and Rick Siders of Peru, sister, Lisa (Rick) Winter of Kokomo, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Robert “Robbie” Devon Siders, sister, Teresa Lee Siders, grandparents, Meridith Devon and Mary Siders, Roy Mowrer and Evelyn Mowrer, and two uncles, Donald and Richard Siders.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service – Roann, 335 S. Chippewa Rd., Roann, with Josh Houk officiating. Burial will be in Roann Community Cemetery, Roann. Friends may call 12:30 – 2:00 pm, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects and share moments during this time.
