Bonnie J. (Peterson) Fitzjarrald Dunlap, 79, Marion, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023, at Wesleyan Health Care & Rehabilitation Center in Marion. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on February 24, 1943. Her parents were Burr and Evelyn (McCoy) Peterson.
Bonnie graduated from Mississinewa High School. She worked at General Tire, as well as at Bradner Village and Marion VA Hospital where she was a nursing assistant. She was a member at First Christian Church in Gas City. Bonnie was a thoughtful woman who enjoyed crafting and making things for people. She also loved spending time at the lakes.
Survivors include her husband, James E. Dunlap of Marion; son, Curtis Fitzjarrald; daughter, Stacey (Fitzjarrald) McKee; step-children, Jesse Dunlap, Charles Dunlap, Pamela (Kenneth) Miller, and Joshua (Carly) Coats; 10 step-grandchildren; 18 step-great-grandchildren; and sister, Pat Dishmon.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, John R. Dishmon.
The family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Bonnie’s life will begin at 2:00 pm with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
