Beverly Louise Chain

Beverly Louise Chain, 83, of Richvalley, Indiana, died at 4:39 pm, Friday, July 29,2022, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on September 3, 1938 in Bedford, Indiana, to Walter Jenkins and Mary (Dalton) Gilbert.

Beverly worked at GenCorp in Wabash, retiring after 33 years. She then worked for 17 years at & retired from a local Carry-out store. She married Glenn Harold “Bud” Chain in Fort Wayne, Indiana on August 1, 1971; he preceded her in death on December 24, 2004. Beverly was a member of the Women of the Moose, and Eagles lodge, both of Wabash. She loved her family, keno, coffee, visits from her siblings, & playing Yahtzee with her grandkids.

She is survived by three children, Glenn H. Chain of Wabash, Larry (Patti) chain of North Manchester, Indiana, and Glenda Chain of Peru, Indiana; six grandchildren, Allie Greene, Larry Chain, Madison Chain, and Dallis Chain, all of Wabash, Kayla Chain (Dwayne) of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Dane Faust of North Manchester; great-granddaughter, Lillie Greene of Wabash, five sisters, Jackie Short, JoEllen Sutton, and Sandra Nordhoff, all of Bedford, Linda Randolph of Oolitic, and Rosie McDonald of Phoenix, Arizona, and brother Michael Gilbert of Kentucky. She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Michelle Chain, two brother and five sisters.

She had a lot of people who loved her & will miss her dearly. She had a lot of people waiting for her on the other side who loved her & missed her too. It is a beautifully peaceful feeling to know that she was welcomed into heaven with open arms and loving hearts. Just like her usual partner in shenanigans, she knew better but did it anyway.

Family will receive friends from 2pm-5pm Sunday August, 7th 2022 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash at a later date.
