Beverley Jean Hoffman

Beverley Jean Hoffman, 88, of rural Wabash, Indiana, died at 7:30 am, Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on January 29, 1933, in Joliet, Illinois, to Ernest E. and Ina B. (Backstrom) Copas.

Beverley was a graduate of Joliet Central High School. She married Gene Eldon Hoffman; he died December 26, 2017. Beverley was an X-Ray technician several years. She was a longtime member of the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Joliet. She enjoyed puzzles and watching the birds. Beverley lived the past two years in Wabash, lived in Minnesota, and was a longtime resident of Joliet.

She is survived by six children, Terrie Wronkiewicz of Peoria, Illinois, David (William Shaw) Hoffman of Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts, Ken (Karen) Hoffman of Clear Lake, Minnesota, Pennie (Patrick) Crowley of Shorewood, Illinois, Mike (Kathy) Hoffman of Columbia, Illinois, and Cindy (Mike) Armes of Wabash, nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Lucille Eaton and Erma Dorre.

There will be a memorial service at a later date at the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Joliet. Inurnment will be in the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.

Preferred memorial is American Cancer Society.
