Betty Lou Jones, 77, of Gas City, passed away peacefully at 3:45 pm on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. She was born in Greeneville, Tennessee, on Monday, September 16, 1946, to Garrett and Frances (Southerland) Jones.
Betty graduated from Mississinewa High School and enjoyed walking, cooking, and playing board games. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her sisters, Shirley Holbrook, Jeannie Swafford; nephews, Jason Dickerson, Michael Holbrook, Pete Swafford, Garrett Swafford; nieces, Brandy Croucher, Myah Dickerson, Samantha Dickerson, Carlee Swafford, Abbi Swafford; and friend, Brittney Shaffer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Garrett and Frances Jones.
At Betty’s request, there will be no public visitation or funeral service however a private family time took place at the funeral home.
