Bernice Marie Terhune (Noviski), age 94, died on March 9th, 2024, at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home in LaFontaine, IN.
She was the first Christmas Baby born at the hospital in Chicago. Bernice attended Ladywood School for girls in Indianapolis and graduated in 1947. She then attended The College of St. Francis in Joliet, IL, and Marion College.
Bernice met and married Ernest Terhune, the love of her life, on July 19th,1952. They were married 53 years.
She was employed at Anaconda Wire and Cable. Later she was employed by the County Prosecutors office and retired after 17 years of service. She loved her job and all the people she worked with; many became lifelong friends.
Bernice was an avid golfer and felt like the golf course was her heaven here on earth. She shot two holes in One’s in her career and participated in league golf at Arbor Trace Golf course in Marion.
Bernice and Buster spent years in retirement playing golf, going on vacation with friends, it was one of the high points in her life. She loved the sun and the sand, she also loved watching Indiana University basketball.
Bernice is survived by; son Eddie (Nita) Terhune and daughter Charlotte Terhune (Freddy Delgado) one Grandchild Chelsea (Cody) Denney and one great-grandchild Jaxon Denney.
Friends and family may call from 9 to 10:30 A.M. Thursday March 21,2024 at Raven Choate Robinson Funeral Home 1202 W. Kem Road, Marion, IN. Following visitation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Ted Rothrock officiating.
