Bernadette A. Clouse

Bernadette “Bernie” A. Clouse, 57, of Marion, passed away at 12:43 am on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Marion Health. She was born in Murray, Kentucky, on Saturday, July 24, 1965, to Herbert A. and Lauraine L. (Cox) McPherson, Jr. On February 13, 1988, she married Stephen P. Clouse, and he survives.

Bernie graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1983 and received her B.S. degree in Accounting from Ball State University. She was the Controller for many years at Nova PAK. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Bernie enjoyed going to the casino, reading, and spending time with family. She was a strong Catholic believer who stayed faithful throughout the battles that she faced.

In addition to her loving husband of 34 years, Bernie is survived by her parents; daughter, Catherine A. (Jessica M.) Bragg of Fort Wayne; sons, Gabriel A. Clouse of Marion and Zachary D. (Megan C.) Clouse of Fort Wayne; grandson, Elijah Bragg; granddaughter, Jordy Bragg; brothers, Jeffrey (Kassy) McPherson of Indianapolis and Bradley McPherson of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Stephanie Lockwood of Marion; and granddogs, Max, Moose, Abby, Bailey, and Remi.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Herbert A. McPherson, Sr., and Fermin Cox; grandmothers, Catherine McPherson and Margaret Kuhn; father-in-law, Rodney Clouse; and mother-in-law, Mary Clouse.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1031 W. Kem Rd., Marion, IN.

Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Bernie’s life will begin at 1:00 pm with Father Ted Rothrock officiating. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park.
