Barbara Sue Steele, 75, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 5:19 pm, Monday, March 21, 2022, at her home. She was born on October 18, 1946, in Van Lear, Kentucky, to Frank and Ruby (Ramey) Perkins.
Sue was a homemaker and a member of the Wabash Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, listening to gospel music, and watching television ministries.
She is survived by four children, Michelle Case, Tammi Keefer, Cindy Steele, and James (Heather) Steele, all of Wabash; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Jimmy (Alice Faye) Perkins of Wabash, Roger (Ruby) Perkins of Madison, Georgia, Sheila (Ken) Jennings of Athens, Georgia, Lisa Perkins and Dorothy (Robert) Ratliff, both of Watkinsville, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Monday, March 28, 2022, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor Tim Prater officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 9:30-10:30 am Monday, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Wabash County Cancer Society.
