Barbara Jo Turner, 88, formerly of North Manchester, Indiana, died at 5:00 am, Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Rolling Meadows Healthcare in LaFontaine, IN. She was born on October 25, 1934, in Warren County, Kentucky, to Raleigh and Opal Irene (White) Duckett.
Barbara married Richard P. Turner in Wabash on July 8, 1951; he died January 1, 2016. She worked at RCA in Marion. Barbara enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and arts and crafts.
She is survived by two children, Phillip K. Turner of Marion, Indiana, and Regina Elliott of Wabash, Indiana, eight grandchildren, Lori Beth (TJ) Poole of Roann, Indiana, Lucas (Marta) Turner of Yorktown, Indiana, Heidi Turner Maine of Marion, Cati Jo Elliott of Wabash, Jacob Turner of Elwood, Indiana, Jared (Christina) Turner of Yorktown, Cody Turner of Gas City, Indiana, and Cassandra Renee (Aaron) Croussore of Muncie, Indiana, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, and her sister, Wanda Hill of Aripeka, Florida. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and two sons, David and Randy Jo Turner.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash. Friends may call 12:30 – 2:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Alzheimers and Dementia Association.
