Barbara A. Hopkins, 91, of North Manchester, Indiana, died at 4:25 am, Monday, December 16, 2019 at Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Wabash. She was born June 15, 1928 in North Manchester, to Elvin and Bernice (Grossnickle) Metzger.
Barbara first married Fred Hukill; he died September 25, 1957. She then married James William Hopkins in Claypool, Indiana on July 6, 1964; he died March 20, 2006. She was a homemaker. Barbara enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading murder mystery novels, and her Chihuahuas.
She is survived by her brother, Larry Metzger of Hartselle, Alabama, sister, Betty L. (Casper) Raleigh of Woodburn, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two infant brothers.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, December 20, 2019 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel, 207 W. Main St., North Manchester, with David Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, North Manchester. Friends may call 10:00 – 11:00 am Friday, at the funeral home.
