WABASH,Indiana — Artistica Gallery will be offering Artists the opportunity to paint Wabash scenes from May 10 through June 10. According to Joyce DeVore, gallery manager, she thought about having a paint-out in June but decided more people would have the opportunity to join in if additional time was allowed to paint.
Registrations are now being accepted. Artists are invited to come in and purchase the painting surface for choice medium to be used to have it stamped as we want current scenes painted for this event. Perhaps someone will purchase a picture of a Wabash scene viewed while visiting our city. Entry fee is $10 for one painting or $15 for three. All entry fees will be donated to the Community Fund of Wabash County and/or the Chili Cook-off. Art must be framed and returned to the gallery by June 10.
The Gallery will display the art for public viewing, voting, and sales from Saturday, June 18 through Saturday, June 25 during regular store hours. The picture receiving the most public votes will receive $100. Other awards may be given depending on the art sales.
Artistica Gallery believes this will be a wonderful opportunity to focus on Wabash. Artists have the opportunity to have their work viewed and for sale to many out of town visitors during the Arts Fest weekend.
