Ansel E. Lahr, 76, North Manchester, Indiana passed away at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester on June 5, 2019 at 7:55 a.m. The son of Ervin F. and Ruth J. (Lassiter) Lahr, Ansel was born on June 13, 1942 in Huntington County, Indiana.
Ansel retired from Heckman Bindery at North Manchester, Indiana after 49 years of service. He attended Bippus School and graduated from Clear Creek High School and was an avid basketball fan. He was a member of North Manchester Missionary Church.
The loving memory of Ansel Lahr will be carried on by his brother, Cleaman F. Lahr, Huntington County, Indiana; one sister, Iona Keuneke, Saint Marys, Ohio; three nieces, two nephews; and his church family. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Galen L. Lahr who passed away on June 1, 2010.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester, Indiana. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling at McKee Mortuary. Pastor Ken Sistrunk will officiate. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, County Road 300 East & Country Road 1000 North, Servia, Indiana.
