Amparo R. Verdeal

Amparo R. Verdeal, age 74, of Andrews, died at 3:23 p.m. Friday, September 28, 2018 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Visitation will be from 2 – 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Jeff Necessary officiating. Burial will be in Andrews Riverside Cemetery in Huntington County.

Preferred memorials are to the donor’s choice, in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 West Park Drive, Huntington, Indiana, 46750.

Amparo was born on June 20, 1944 in Mexico City, Mexico, the daughter of Nieves and Rosa (Campos) Ramirez. She graduated from Wolcottville High School in 1964 and married Manuel C. Verdeal on August 25, 1968 in La Carrace, Spain; he preceded her in death on November 21, 2011. She was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church in Fort Wayne and a member of VFW Post #2689 Auxiliary. Amparo was a great cook, she loved gardening, and she enjoyed traveling the world.

Survivors include a son, Luis C. Verdeal of Andrews, a sister, Ofelia Ramirez of Fort Wayne, a brother, Erique Ramirez of Mexico City, and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers Jose Ramirez and Raul Ramirez.
