Allen J. Tenbusch, Jr., 81, Jonesboro, passed away in his home at 4:03 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2018. He was born in Harbor Beach, Michigan, on June 20, 1936, to the late Allen J. and Bernice (Karmon) Tenbusch, Sr.. On January 31, 1959, Allen married Patricia M. Szarafinski, and she survives.
Allen retired from General Motors after 34 ½ years of service as a foreman. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the GM Sympathy Club.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia; children, Allen M. Tenbusch, Marion, Audrey M. (Thomas) Nelson, North Webster, and Stanley J. (Michelle) Tenbusch, Marion; brother, Russell D. (Diane) Tenbusch, Ft. Gratiot, Michigan; sister, Marcella (James) Walters, Harbor Beach, Michigan; 3 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Floyd B. (June) Tenbusch and Michael Tenbusch.
The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. to 12 noon with Allen’s funeral service beginning at 12 noon on Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN. Father Richard Weisenberger will be officiating with burial following at Park Cemetery.
