Alice Rose Stockner

Alice Rose Stockner, 63, Marion, passed away in her home at 3:59 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2018.  She was born in Annapolis, Maryland, to the late George Washington Brown and Jessie (Thompson) Edwards.  She married Lewis Lee Rinehart, Sr., and he preceded her in death.

Alice worked in home healthcare throughout her career.  She was loved by everyone and always wanted to make everyone happy.  She enjoyed coloring, traveling, going to church, and writing poems, many of which were published.  Alice also loved her dog, Angel, and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Robyn Noffsinger, North Carolina, and Lewis Lee Rinehart, Jr., North Carolina; 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; siblings, Mary Tyree, Wabash, Lilly “Linda” Belcher, Marion, Kathy Thompson, Marion, Zella (John) Thompson, Marion, Earl (Beverly) Edwards, Kentucky, Johnny (Libby) Edwards, Peru, Debbie (Mark) White, Huntington, and Beverly Cox, Marion; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, David Rinehart; step-father, Gilbert Edwards; brothers, Billy “Joe” Brown and Glenn Richard Edwards; and sister, Shelia Ray Havens.

The family will receive visitors from 12 noon to 1 p.m. with services beginning at 1 p.m. for Alice on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at Integrity Funeral Care, 2901 S. Washington St., Marion, IN.  Pastor Darrin Williams will be officiating with burial following at Converse Cemetery.
