Mr. Shawn Eugene Bloxson, 63, a resident of Thomasville, NC passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at his home. He was born on December 19, 1958 in Wabash, Indiana to the late Virgil Bloxson and Lillian Preston Bloxson. He graduated from Southwood in 1977, and OIT in Columbus in 1979. Shawn worked over 20 years with Walmart as an assistant store supervisor and recently he was enjoying his retirement. Known as a “Jack of all trades”, Shawn enjoyed working with his hands and always enjoyed a good project. He loved his animals, riding his Harley, and spending time with his family. Known as “Papa”, he especially loved spending time with his granddaughters.

Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Debra Farey Bloxson of the home; three children, Jeremy Bloxson (Lisa) of Illinois, Chelsea Richard (Ryan) of Charlotte, NC, and Shawna Bloxson (Christopher) of North Carolina; four granddaughters, Kyla, Sadie, Casey, and Remi; two siblings, Greg Bloxson (Sharon) and Nancy Halderman (Mike), both of Indiana; and several extended family members.  

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the JC Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville. Memorials may be sent to the Humane Society of the donor’s choice. The family would like to thank the local fire department, EMS, and first responders for their diligent efforts.
