MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. – Distinguished Young Women of Miami County is part of a national scholarship program that promotes and rewards scholarship, leadership and talent in young women. Cash scholarships are awarded at the local level and millions in college-granted scholarships are available ($1.1 billion nationally). The 2018 Distinguished Young Women of Miami County Scholarship Showcase will be held at Peru High School Auditiorium on Saturday, November 18th, at 6:30PMand the cost to attend is $5.00. Doors will open at 6PM. The local winners across the state advance to the state program which is held in Kokomo, Indiana where they give away more than $26,100 in cash tuition scholarships. This year’s Miami County participants are Jazzmyan Bayless, Danielle McCord, Lindley Prescott, and Marjon Rafie, all who attend Peru High School.
