Sondra K, Griffith, 78, LaFontaine, daughter of the late Howard and Genevieve (Hoyt) Griffith, died at 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Rolling Meadows Health Care and Rehab.
Sondra was born in Marion and retired after many years of service at the Marion Public Library, where she worked in the reference department. She formerly worked as a secretary with the Marion Police Department.
Like countless others, Sondra was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She liked sports, especially bowling. Above all, she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She will be missed by her uncles, Willis Fisher, Marion, and Ronald (Bea) Griffith, Gas City; close cousin, Rodney Fisher, Gary; plus several cousins and friends.
Visitation for Sondra will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN. Services will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park.
