Mary Catherine “Kate” Robbins, 93, of Huntington County, IN, passed away at 5:00 AM on Thursday, February 04, 2016 at Heritage Pointe in Warren, IN. She was born on Saturday, May 27, 1922, in Grant County, IN to Clyde & Mary C. (Townsend) Snyder. Kate graduated from Marion High School in the class of 1940. She enjoyed working with stained glass and playing dominos with her friends. She formerly owned and operated “Kate’s Beauty Shop” out of her home for many years. Kate was a very helpful farm wife to her late husband Glen. She loved to spend time helping him around the farm and especially loved spending her free time with her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Loving survivors include: one Daughter – Judy (Steve) King, Huntington Co, IN, Grandson – Rick (Lisa) King, Indianapolis, IN, Grandson – Craig (Jennifer) King, Fort Wayne, IN, Granddaughter – Megan (Justin) Hesser, Cheyenne, WY, Gr. Grandchildren-Landin King, Bella King, Sabrina King, Grayson Hesser and McKenna Hesser, Sister – Barb Bales, Wisconsin and several Nieces & Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her: Husband – Glen Robbins, Mother – Mary C. (Townsend) Snyder, Father – Clyde Snyder, Grandson – Kevin King and Sister – Jeanne Albertson.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home 201 N Main Street Van Buren on Sunday, February 07, 2016 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
A service to celebrate Kate’s life will be at Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 08, 2016; viewing will be held one hour before the service. Rev. Gerald Moreland will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Gardens of Memory in rural Marion.
