WABASH,Indiana – On the next Wabash Talks, Judy Ward, President of the Wabash Kiwanis Club, discusses her recent appointment to serve as lieutenant governor of the Potawatomi Division of the Indiana Kiwanis Club. The division area includes Peru-Grissom, Manchester, Akron, Mentone, Warsaw, Whitley County, Plymouth, Rochester and Wabash. Ward said that as the lieutenant governor she will keep track of what the individual clubs in those cities and areas are doing and act as liaison to the state Kiwanis organization.

Ward first became involved in the Wabash Kiwanis Club as a “K-kids” sponsor during her time as a teacher at O.J. Neighbours. She only became an official member after retiring some four years ago.
Ward added that the position of lieutenant governor is usually a one year position as the Kiwanis Club leadership likes to rotate members in the higher-up positions. While she obviously has a knack for organization, as is evidenced by her other interests like the FAME Festival, Ward told MiBash News that she is prepared to take the more administrative position of lieutenant governor of the division.

To hear more from Judy Ward discussing the upcoming Kiwanis events this spring and summer, tune into Wabash Talks, Sunday morning at 9 on 105.9 The Bash.
