WABASH, ind. – The Wabash City Police have received an overwhelming amount of gun permit applications.  By showing this process we hope it streamlines the process for the citizens of Wabash.

Gun Permit Process

City Residents Only

1. Go to www.in.gov/isp click on the firearms link on that page and fill out the application.

2. Click on second step and set up your appointment for electronic fingerprints.

3. After you have gotten your fingerprints call and set up an appointment at the Wabash Police Department at 260-563-1112, option 2.

4. Fees for permits: 5year no charge, but still must make an appointment. Lifetime permit with existing valid permit $60.00 state fee and $40.00 local fee. Lifetime permit without existing permit $75.00 state fee and $50.00 local fee. State fees are paid online at time of filling out the application. Local fees are either exact cash or money order.

5. Do not mail in your fingerprint receipt or local payment.

6. You have 90 days to complete the process.

7. Once everything is completed, it is up to the Indiana State Police Firearms Section. It may take up to 60 days for the Indiana State Police to complete the application. Any questions about your application call 1-317-233-5054.
