Wabash City Police hire two Patrol Officers

WABASH, IN- On October 10, 2023, Mayor Scott Long swore in two new police officers for the City of Wabash.

Bryce A. Kendall is a probationary police officer. Officer Kendall is a 2015 Northfield High School graduate. Officer Kendall was raised in Wabash and before joining the Wabash City Police Department he worked for the Wabash City Street Department. Officer Kendall is married and has one child. Officer Kendall and his family reside in Wabash. Officer Kendall’s badge number is K150.

Eli M. Travis is a probationary police officer. Officer Travis graduated high school in 2018. Officer Travis was raised in Grant County and currently lives in Converse. Officer Travis is married and has one child. Officer Travis’s badge number is K151.

Both officers are currently waiting to start their mandatory forty-hour pre-basic course which is required by the State of Indiana to obtain arrest powers. Once they have completed that they will be on patrol with another officer. Both Officers will have to attend the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy within their first year.
