WABASH COUNTY, Ind. – Southwood Elementary School students presented Tenille Zartman, a representative of the Inclusive Playground committee, with a check for more than $6,400 that they raised during recent fundraisers.
Principal Philip Boone challenged the students that if they raised $2,500, he would do something that no one else would want to do. The students far exceeded his challenge, and on Thursday afternoon, Boone became the ice cream in an ice cream sundae.
Students poured chocolate and caramel toppings on him, along with nuts, whip cream and, of course, cherries.
