Roann Receives $400,000 Grant

The Town of Roann is one of 12 Hoosier communities to receive funds under the Wastewater Drinking Water Program, Lt. Gov. Eric Holcomb and the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs announced Friday.
Roann will receive $400,000 of the more than $6 million to be awarded the communities.
The funds will be used for necessary improvements to the Roann drinking water system with the construction and installation of a disinfection facility.
The town also will rehabilitate the existing water tower, replace nine hydrants and improve the distribution system to improve water quality and fire protection, according to the OCRA news release.
