PERU, IN- Recently, Peru Police Officer Keith Smith was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. Sergeant Smith had his new badge pinned on by his daughter, Braelynn and his chevrons pinned on by his wife, MaKinsey.
Sergeant Smith will be the acting patrol Sergeant on the afternoon shift to go along with his current duties as K9 Handler, Field Training Officer, Taser Instructor and OPO coordinator.
