MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. – Saturday night, February 18th, the Indiana Representative for distinguished Young Woman 2017 was chosen. The event took place at Indiana University in Kokomo. 22 young women representing counties across the state of Indiana participated in the annual scholarship program. The theme was dedicated to the roaring 1920’s. The night opened with a choreographed dance selection as participants wore the fashion from that era. North Miami’s Bella Borse was a top 10 Finalist:
The girls had to compete in areas of fitness, talent, and self-expression. Alyssa Hochstetler, a Senior at Northridge High School, won the Title along with an $8,000 Scholarship and a chance to compete nationally later this year in Alabama
