North Manchester Woman Dies in Wabash County Crash

Wabash County – Yesterday at approximately 3:00 p.m., officers from the Indiana State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 24 at Wabash Street, which killed a North Manchester, IN woman.

The preliminary crash investigation by Trooper Dustin Rutledge revealed that Peggy Boggs, 82, North Manchester, IN was driving a 2015 Ford Fusion northbound on Wabash Street, approaching a stop sign at U.S. 24. Boggs failed to stop for the sign and pulled onto U.S. 24. The Fusion was struck in the driver’s door by and an eastbound 2003 Ford Ranger. The Ranger was driven by Stephen Conner, 72, Urbana, IN.

Boggs was pronounced dead at the crash scene. Evidence indicates she might have suffered a medical episode before the crash. Conner was not injured.

This crash is still under investigation. At this neither the use of alcohol nor narcotics is suspected as having contributed to the crash.
