MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. – The Miami County Community Foundation (MCCF) awarded $1,000 to the Children’s Theatre Workshop’s (CTW) summer offering of “The Tempest.” CTW, in partnership with Ole Olsen Memorial Theatre, has focused on Shakespeare productions for eight summers since 2008. With the assistance of the MCCF’s grant, the CTW is able to offer the performances free to the public. The cast members are students in the range of high school freshmen through college level. This summer’s performances will take place at Maconaquah High School on July 28th, 29th, and 30th, and August 4thand 5th. The dollars from the MCCF were awarded as a community grant through the MCCF’s open grant cycle. Applications are accepted and grants are awarded throughout the year.
