MCS board elects officers, Search for vacant seat begins

Ruth Ayers was elected Manchester Community School Board president at the January meeting Tuesday, Jan. 8.

Former president Steve Flack was elected vice-president, with Ben Vanderpool named secretary.

The newly formed board that included new members Vanderpool, Rick Espeset and Dave Terflinger discussed the process and schedule in filling the vacant board position left open after Nate Trump did not run for re-election.

Brice Bedke was absent.

The board set a deadline of January 30, 2019 at 4 p.m. to those interested to turn in letters of interest for the vacant board seat. Letters may be turned in at the MCS Administration Offices at 404 W. Ninth Street or emailing them to Ayres at Ruth_Ayres@mcs.k12.in.us.
