MARION, Ind. – On October 3, 2019 at approximately 4:16 pm, Marion Police responded to the 400 Block of South Park Avenue for a 16-year-old that sustained a gunshot injury to the left leg.
A 16-year-old male reported that he was working in his garage when a black male, stocky build (200 lbs) and wearing a black hoodie, walked into his garage and shot him in the leg below the knee. The victim stated the suspect left without saying a word. The victim stated the suspect then fled on foot to the east down the alleyway.
Officers on scene administered first aid to the juvenile. Marion General Hospital medical personnel arrived on scene and transported the victim to the hospital. The victim’s injury is non-life threatening.
