Marion Police Make Two Arrests in Drug Related Crime

On August 5, 2020 at approximately 4:00 pm, Marion Detectives conducted an interview at the Child Advocacy
Center of a 17-year-old juvenile female concerning an allegation of being sexually assaulted.
During the interview the juvenile also provided detectives with two locations in which drugs and weapons were
present. The juvenile provided detectives with the addresses of 314 South Whites Ave., Apt. A and 506 North
Lenfesty St. Search warrants were obtained, and executed. Police searched both locations and took custody
of firearms and a quantity of drugs.
The following two individuals were arrested without incident and transported to the Grant Co. Jail:
Stephen W. Parker II, age 36 – Count I: Possession of Firearm by Serious Violent Offender, Level 4 Felony;
Count 2: Unlawful possession of a syringe, Level 6 Felony; Count 3: Visiting a Common Nuisance, B
Misdemeanor.
Richard I. Jackson, age 38 – Count 1: Possession of Cocaine with intent to deliver, Level 2 Felony; Count 2:
Possession of Methamphetamine with intent to deliver, Level 2 Felony; Count 3: Possession of Firearm by
Serious Violent Felon, Level 4 Felony; Count 4: Neglect of a Dependent x 3, Level 6 Felony; Count 5:
Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Level 6 Felony; Count 6: Possession of Paraphernalia, C Misdemeanor.
 The owner(s) of 506 North Lenfesty are Ricky and Tanya Gardner.
The sexual assault allegation reported by the female juvenile is ONGOING.
