WABASH,Indiana – The Wabash Plain Dealer is reporting that a local 40-year-old woman has been charged with possession of child pornography. Court documents report that Dawn Marie Miller exchanged nude pictures with a 17-year-old boy in January which were discovered by the boy’s father after he went through his son’s phone. The father also discovered evidence that the Miller and the 17 year old communicated on Facebook and planned on having sex later this month. Miller was charged on Monday with one count of possession of child pornography, a Level 6 Felony. If convicted, Miller could serve six month to two and a half years in prison and face a fine of up to $10,000.
Wabash Attorney Kristina Lynn has been appointed as Miller’s attorney and Wabash County Prosecuting Attorney William Hartley Jr. will represent the state. Bail has been set at $6,500 surety, $250 in cash. A pre-trial conference in the case has been set for Monday, May 16th at 1 pm to be followed by a jury trial in June.
