Honeywell Arts & Entertainment announces new events at Honeywell House


WABASH, IN– Honeywell Arts & Entertainment adds new events to its lineup at the Honeywell House beginning in January. Tickets for events are available online at honeywellarts.org or by calling the Honeywell Box Office at 260.563.1102. Events with free admission require reservations due to limited seating. Reservations can be made online at honeywellarts.org or by calling the Honeywell Box Office. Honeywell House programming is presented by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service.
A venue of Honeywell Arts & Entertainment, the Honeywell House is the former home of Mrs. Mark Honeywell. The historic residence offers a variety of artistic, educational, and musical offerings ranging from recitals to lectures and outdoor dining events.
Mark Honeywell’s Birthday Dinner – Fri., January 19 at 6:30 p.m.
Enjoy the fun, beauty, and music of Greece as we celebrate Mark Honeywell’s 149th birthday. Greek food and culture will make this an evening to remember! Tickets for the event are $45 per person. Reservations and advance payment are required.
Library Building Renovation and Expansion – Tues., February 6 at 7:00 p.m.
Ware Wimberly, Director of the Wabash Carnegie Public Library, will discuss the renovation and expansion of the library building. The renovation and expansion began in 2023 and will be completed by Fall 2024. Ware will share the reasons for the renovation and how it will facilitate more library programming experiences and uses for library patrons. Admission to the event is free; however, reservations are required due to limited seating.
Art Songs and Arias – Thurs., February 22 at 7:00 p.m.
Mezzo-soprano Mackenzie Sheridan will present a program of classical vocal music. Mackenzie is a graduate of Wabash High School and is currently a student at Manchester University, where she is studying voice with Dr. Debra Lynn. Mackenzie’s recital will include art songs and arias. David Hupp will be her accompanist. Admission to the event is free; however, reservations are required due to limited seating. This event is sponsored by Peggy Coppler Studio of Music/Musikgarten.
George Berg Quartet – Thurs., March 7 at 7:00 p.m.
The George Berg Quartet is a men’s group from First United Methodist Church. Steven Hentgen, Alan Palmer, Daniel Stauffer, Jim Flack, and pianist Susan Vanlandingham will entertain you with a variety of music, including gospel, praise and worship, and hymns. Admission to the event is free; however, reservations are required due to limited seating.
Wabash Woollen Works – Tues., March 19 at 7:00 p.m.
Lisa Gilman of Wabash Woollen Works will talk about the variety of programs and workshops offered at her facility. These include tea making, the art of natural dyeing, acid dye techniques, dorset buttons (history and techniques), indigo vat dyeing, kombucha making, peg loom workshops (the art of rug making, lap blankets, and pillows), making felted boxes, and much more! Examples will be displayed. Admission to the event is free; however, reservations are required due to limited seating.
Emma Edmonds, War Spy – Tues., April 9 at 7:00 p.m.
Storyteller Carol Gebert will present the epic tale of a Canadian woman who dressed as a man to fight for Lincoln’s army during the Civil War. The story performed is based on Emma’s book and other Civil War stories to create a solid tale of what a soldier’s life was like while hiding her gender. Admission to the event is free; however, reservations are required due to limited seating.
The 500: A Hoosier Tradition – Tues., April 16 at 7:00 p.m.
Get the inside scoop on the Indy 500! Wabash native Michael Kaltenmark is the Senior Director of Marketing for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He will present some Speedway history, speak about his role, and share stories about people and events at the track. Admission to the event is free; however, reservations are required due to limited seating.
Dancing Piano Duets – Thurs., May 2 at 7:00 p.m.
An evening of dance music performed on the beloved Honeywell House Steinway awaits. Timothy Stephenson and Nicha Stapanukul will perform a variety of repertoire arranged for four hands, one piano, including Dvorak’s Slavonic Dances. Admission to the event is free; however, reservations are required due to limited seating.
Tastes on the Terrace – Every Wednesday in June from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The terrace will be open every Wednesday in June for open dining. Check out the weekly menu updates on Facebook. Reservations are accepted for parties of two or more. Indoor seating will be available in case of rain. This series is sponsored by Nancy Fisher, with additional support provided by Richard Tucker.
I Feel Good! Hits of the 60s – Thurs., June 6 at 7:00 p.m.
Honeywell House favorite Nostalgia Entertains brings you those fun, inspiring, and joyful songs of the 1960s. This musical and storytelling cabaret features the music of artists like James Brown, The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Marvelettes, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Neil Diamond, and more. Admission to the event is free; however, reservations are required due to limited seating.
Eugenia’s Table – Thurs., June 27 at 3:00 p.m.
Mrs. Honeywell loved traveling and bringing back interesting mementos. We invite you to share your favorite travel experiences and souvenirs, whether from around Indiana or around the world. Enjoy a dessert prepared by Chef David Ericsson. Tickets for the event are $15 per person. Reservations and advance payment are required.
Mrs. Honeywell’s Birthday Tea – Thurs., July 18 at 11:30 a.m.
Enjoy a very special celebration in honor of Mrs. Honeywell with a “low tea” luncheon and fashion show. The Francis Shoppe will delight you with their beautiful fashions as we savor treats of tea sandwiches, sweets, and pastries made by Chef David Ericsson. Treat yourself and invite a friend to attend this delightful event. Tickets for the event are $25 per person. Reservations and advance payment are required.
Chanticleer – Thurs., July 25 at 7:00 p.m.
Chanticleer and pianist William Foster McDaniel return to delight Honeywell House audiences with a program to include Haydn’s String Quartet Op.77 #1. Admission to the event is free; however, reservations are required due to limited seating. This event is sponsored by Beacon Investment Services.
