Grissom Air Museum Welcomes New Executive Director, Tom Jennings

MIAMI COUNTY, Ind. – Tom Jennings, a Noblesville resident with nearly thirty years of professional experience in visitor services, has recently been hired to serve as the Grissom Air Museum’s new executive director. Jennings replaces Jim Price, who took a job with United Way of Cass County after serving as the director for seven years. Jennings last worked as the operations director of the Indiana State Museum in Indianapolis, where he grew the internship program by 300 percent. He was also credited with building two award-winning exhibits on Abraham Lincoln and a display of artifacts from the Titanic, according to a release. Jennings also had previously held executive positions at the Henry Ford Museum and Toledo Zoo. The museum has started to focus its mission away from a general military aviation theme to one of preserving the legacy of the base and its role throughout U.S. history, including the Cold War. Jennings said he is now working on plans to market and promote that new focus and looking at the possibility of installing new exhibits.
