WABASH, Ind. – The Honeywell House will open its doors to the community during its annual Holiday Open House on Sun., Nov. 20 from 1 to 3 p.m. This event is presented in part by the Wabash Unit of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra Association.

The Honeywell House invites you to enjoy a lovely afternoon with an Indiana-Bicentennial themed holiday open house, as it starts off the holiday season with refreshments, beautiful live Christmas music, and a special quilt display. Docents will be present to help visitors find the special treasures in each room.

In 1964, Eugenia Honeywell moved into her home at 720 North Wabash Street after four years of extensive renovation to the original structure. Although her husband and entrepreneur Mark Honeywell passed away before ever moving in, the Honeywell home was filled with rare and beautiful finds from the couple’s many travels. Among her many professional and artistic accomplishments, Eugenia Honeywell was also known as a most gracious hostess who enjoyed entertaining.

Upon her passing in 1974, Mrs. Honeywell generously left her home to be used as a center for cultural enrichment. The community of Wabash and beyond has enjoyed this treasure of a home for many years. For this 52nd anniversary, the Honeywell House will celebrate its rich history decked out in holiday style, just the way Eugenia Honeywell would have wanted. This special open house is free and open to the public.

Admission to this event is free and open to the public. To learn more about this event or other upcoming Honeywell House events, call (260) 563-2326 ext. 1, or go online at www.honeywellhouse.org.
