WABASH,Indiana – The Wabash City Police Department hosted annual F.A.T.S. (Firearms Training Simulator) last week. The Wabash City Police Department in conjunction with the Wabash County Sheriff’s Department and North Manchester Police Department trained Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. The Firearms simulator is a life size video format with a variety of training scenarios. This training is a great tool to reinforce use of force decisions. Officers are able to use non lethal force such as a taser, pepper spray, or deadly force with a firearm in each scenario. The video based scenarios cover a variety of situations such as traffic stops, school and workplace violence, domestic disturbances, and force continuum. This simulator is a realistic training aid that supplements live range training. This Firearms training simulator is provided by Tactical Edge Protective Services of Warsaw, Indiana.
