WABASH MARKETPLACE TO SELL EXCLUSIVE T-SHIRT TO CELEBRATE THE ANNUAL ANNIVERSARY OF THE LIGHTING OF THE COURTHOUSE


Wabash, Ind. – Beginning Monday, January 18 th , Wabash Marketplace, Inc. will launch
a “Lucky & Lit” t-shirt campaign celebrating the annual anniversary of the lighting of the
Wabash County Courthouse which took place on March 31, 1880. Individuals will have
the opportunity to pre-purchase an exclusive t-shirt online and have the option of having
them shipped directly to their door.
Wabash Marketplace has partnered with a local company, Spirit Wear, to offer a unisex
t-shirt in sizes Small- 2XL to promote Wabash’s historical claim to fame during the
month of March. The soft-style t-shirt comes in Kelly green and is just $20 each,
including tax.
“We think these shirts are a fun nod to the fact that Wabash was the first electrically
lighted city in the world during a month that is synonymous with St. Patrick’s Day,” said
Andrea Zwiebel, Executive Director for Wabash Marketplace.
The shirts are only available online for pre-orders through February 15 th and will be
ready for pick-up at the Wabash Marketplace office in time for First Friday in March.
“2021 is going to be a year where Wabash Marketplace is pushing even harder to serve
Wabash with innovation,” said Christine Flohr, chair of the Promotions Committee for
Wabash Marketplace. “We have a great lineup planned and look forward to launching
each initiative.”
