Wabash Man Sentenced To Nearly Five Years In Prison

INDIANAPOLIS,Indiana – The Ft. Wayne Journal Gazette is reporting that a 41-year-old Wabash man has been sentenced to nearly five years in prison for wire fraud, securities fraud and money laundering in an Indianapolis court. Jamie C. Lopez was a former investor living in the Indianapolis suburb of Carmel and from early 2010 to mid-2012, prosecutors say, persuaded investors to transfer their individual retirement accounts to self-directed accounts under his control. Lopez must pay back $300,000 in restitution to his victims and will spend three years on supervised release after his 57 month sentence.
