WABASH, IN- After nearly six months of rehearsals, the Wabash City Schools Dual Language
Immersion (DLI) Program made history by being the first school in the nation to perform a Disney™
production in English and Spanish. This production was the brainchild of DLI instructors Rafael
Camaras Altas-Gil, Rebeca Zurita Perez, and Maria Angles Iniesta Lorente.
Nearly 50 DLI students were involved in the production. These students ranged from Kindergarten
through 5th grade. Student performers included:

Along with our three DLI teachers, a host of volunteers and donors were crucial to the production’s
success. Volunteers assisted with set design, make-up, lighting, sound and backstage assistance
during the show. A host of donors helped to offset the cost of the program. Wabash City Schools
