Wabash City Schools begin discussion on cost savings ideas

WABASH, IN- The following is a message from WCS Superintendent Dr. Amy Sivley: At the Wabash City Schools’ Board of Education meeting tonight (12/19/22), we began discussion on cost savings ideas.  Again, right now, we are in the discussion phase.  No decisions have been made at this time.  I am attaching a copy of the presentation for your review.  The meeting was live-streamed on YouTube and can be viewed by going to our YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@wcsoffice2540/streams).

When we return from break, we will be hosting informational meetings to provide families and staff with more information about cost savings measures we are examining.  We will also gather feedback from families and staff.  Your input is valued!  Information will also be shared with you via email in case you are not able to attend a meeting.

We want to be very open and transparent with this process.  While we have a large deficit to overcome, I am confident that we can “tighten the purse strings” so to speak and make it through to the other side.

Sincerely,

Dr. Amy K. Sivley, Superintendent

Wabash City Schools
