MIAMI COUNTY, IN- The United Way of Miami County is now accepting nominations for this year’s Community of Character Pillar Award. The criteria to be nominated is as follows: Must show exemplary personal character, professional integrity and a sense of honorable service. Has helped to develop a strong community through promotion of family, community and church in Miami County. Has shown behavior that is courteous, kind, lawful, moral and ethical and has helped to create a better quality of life within the community. If you know of an individual that you would like to nominate for the Pillar Award, complete a nomination form found on the United Way Facebook page and submit to Debi Wallick, Community of Character, 13 East Main Street, Peru, IN 46970, or fax it to 765-473-7567. The deadline for entry is Monday, October 1st and the award will be presented during the Chamber of Commerce awards dinner on October 25th.
