Construction Supervisor Greg Marine said that the dedication is still scheduled on July 16th. Even though the groundbreaking was on the 2nd, he told MiBash News that excavation didn’t start until April 18th. As is required by Habitat for Humanity, the Eis family has been on site helping the construction and putting in their “sweat equity.” This is Maggie Wimberly’s first home construction as Executive Director and she describes how the community has come together to build the new home for the Eis family.

On Thursday, members of the Realtors Association of Central Indiana were lending a hand hammering nails on the first floor while the duct work was being installed. On the exterior, the windows are in and the siding has already gone up on one side of the house. Inside, the plumbing is currently being worked on in addition to the wiring. After the insulation is installed, the dry wall goes up and final work on the exterior will be completed for the July 16th dedication.
