Troy Warren Pennie

Troy Warren Pennie, 43, of Mexico, Indiana passed away on January 27, 2018 at Dukes Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.

He was born in Wabash, Indiana on August 28, 1974 to William T. and Nancy S. (Townsend) Pennie.  He graduated from North Miami High School in 1993 with honors.  Over the years, he had some great accomplishments, including gospel song writing, and editing and producing music CD’s with his computer.  He enjoyed reading his Bible, and had a keen interest in the stars and the universe.  He attended the Mexico Baptist Church and also the old Crossroads Baptist Church in Gilead, Indiana.

Troy is survived by his parents, and many aunts and uncles in Indiana and Minnesota, including: William R. and Judith A. Townsend, Shelby D. and Mary E. Townsend, John Pennie, Vinton and Mary (Pennie) Wogan, Eleanor (Pennie) Kasper, and Charles Nelson.  Also surviving are lots of cousins.

Friends may call from 2pm – 6pm on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru, Indiana.  Funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the funeral home, with Pastor Thad Stewart officiating.  Burial will follow at Ever-Rest Memorial Park in Cass County, Indiana.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army through the funeral home.
