Transition Board Selects Keith Gillenwater as President & CEO of Proposed Organization: Wabash County Business Alliance, Inc.

WABASH COUNTY, IN—April 17, 2017: The Transition Board has selected Keith Gillenwater as President & CEO of the proposed organization to combine Wabash County Chamber of Commerce (“Chamber”) and Economic Development Group of Wabash County (“EDG”).

“During this time of transition, it is imperative we select leadership that will champion a combined vision,” said Emily Boardman, Transition Board Chair.  “Keith is an excellent match for the aspirational vision of the new organization and his ability to collaborate with community partners will be key to its success.”

Gillenwater has been the President & CEO of EDG since December 2014.  Gillenwater has extensive experience in community and economic development and represents Wabash County on various boards in the state, including the board of the Regional Chamber of Northeast Indiana, Mid-America Economic Development Council and Indiana Economic Development Association.  Keith views the new organization as a “community development” organization and seeks to engage investors through a strong communication effort.        

Jason Callahan, CEO Selection Committee Member, stated, “Keith has demonstrated his commitment to the success of Wabash County by working with various local and regional stakeholders to ensure we are collectively working toward a prosperous Wabash County.”

Wabash County Business Alliance, Inc. is the proposed organization to combine the Chamber and EDG.  The new organization will carry the mission of “Together, Growing a Prosperous Wabash County” through business development/recruitment, workforce development, livability and other key initiatives as established by community needs.
