Tickets On Sale for ArtsFest 2017

Wabash, Indiana:  Tickets will go on sale May 3 at 10 a.m. for the annual summer tradition of ArtsFest slated for August 3 – 5 in Wabash, Indiana.

This three-day festival that celebrates the arts takes place at multiple venues throughout Wabash. Marking its 10th year of bringing first-class artists and performers to the area for a weekend of hands-on art workshops, live music, theatrical performances, culinary opportunities, a downtown gallery walk and more, the ArtsFest is an opportunity for people of all ages to experience the arts in an intimate manner.

The weekend will kick off with Jazz on the Lawn on Thursday, August 3. Guests will be able to unfold their blankets or chairs and enjoy an evening of jazz on the beautiful Honeywell House lawn featuring Heartland Sings with opening act Lorrie Snyder.

Horticultural and art workshops where guests will be able to explore their creativity in an intimate manner will be available on Friday afternoon August 4, followed by a downtown gallery walk, a bourbon tasting, live music and a screening of the movie “Hoosiers” at Eagles Theatre with writer Angelo Pizzo taking questions and comments from the guests.

Arts enthusiasts of all ages will be able to enjoy the Kid-O-Rama activities on Saturday, August 5, as well as a Back Porch Concert with Ted Yoder. Yoder is a dazzling performer with his hammered dulcimer. Guests can enjoy gourmet lemonades and iced teas in the setting of the Dr. James Ford Historic Home beautiful backyard.

The festival’s marquee performance will be Dinner in the Spotlight – an event on the Honeywell Center’s Ford Theater stage with a gourmet dinner and live entertainment by NYC cabaret singer Kim Grogg.

“We wanted the 2017 line-up to reach a wide audience while still resonating with our core ArtsFest community,” said Katie Beauchamp, chair of the ArtsFest Committee. “We are certain that our schedule of events does just that. It is a weekend jam-packed with entertainment that highlights performers and artisans from across the music, design and culinary spectrum.”
