Susan Dawn Scott, 69, Marion, passed away at home at 12:13 pm on Friday, April 26, 2024. She was born in Marion, Indiana, on Friday, July 30, 1954, to Oliver and Betty (Baxter) Purtee.
Susan graduated from Marion High School and worked as a Lab Tech for 46 years with Dr. Gorman, retiring in 2016. Susan was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. She loved playing with her grandkids and being at home. She loved to cook, bake, and watch TV. She was an avid Elvis fan.
Survivors include her daughters, Molly (Keith) Logan of Marion, Kelsay (Kyle) Bisdorf of Indianapolis; siblings, Robert (Janet) Purtee of Swayzee, Kathy (Mick Cox) Purtee of Summitville, Debbie Fulks of OH; and grandchildren, Oliver & Ruby.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Betty Purtee; daughter, Megan Scott; and ex-husband, Dana Scott.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Friday, May 3, 2024, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a service to celebrate Susan’s life will begin at 3:00 pm with Chaplain Don Miller officiating.
